They can be used if you want to represent an empty space without using space. Let's say you want to use an empty value in a website or application, but spaces are not accepted. For this situation you can use one of the characters on this site. For example, sending an empty message, or setting a form value to blank. If the application filters out other unicode characters then the characters on this site might not work.

Sending an empty message in WhatsApp

WhatsApp does not allow to send a blank messages using spaces. To work around this problem, you can use the blank character on this page. It is seen as a character different than space, but it looks the same. You can use it to send a invisible message, or set your WhatsApp status to empty.

Invisibility is a status effect that turns entities invisible. It has one potency level (active), but its duration can be extended.

Mechanics[edit]

Invisibility causes the affected mob to disappear from view although it is still present.

Boss mobs are immune to invisibility.

Certain features of entities are not affected by invisibility:

• Any armor worn (including horse armor worn by horses)
• Held items
• Any arrows stuck in players ‌^{[Java Edition only]}
• Any particles being emitted
• A shulker head
• A llama's carpet decoration
• A pig's and strider's saddle
• The aura of a charged creeper
• The eyes of cave spiders, spiders, endermen, and phantoms
• Emerald above villager's or wandering trader's heads when opening their trading GUI‌^{[Bedrock Edition only]}

• Mobs do not attack or sense the player until the player is a lot closer than normal.
  • A player with no armor can be detected at 7% of the usual detection distance.
  • Any single piece of armor increases this to 17.5% of the usual distance, and each additional piece increases this by another 17.5%.
  • After detecting the player, a mob continues to follow as if the player is visible.
• Cats behave as though the entity affected is visible.
• Additional methods of reducing detection by mobs include:
  • Sneaking reduces the detection range to 80% of usual, and stacks with Invisibility.
  • Wearing the corresponding mob head reduces the detection range of skeletons, zombies, and creepers to 50% of usual, and stacks with Invisibility.
• Players in Spectator mode see invisible entities as translucent instead.
• Invisibility prevents players from getting the Dolphin's Grace effect naturally.
• Endermen have a reduced provocation range if the player looking at them is invisible.
• In multiplayer and in third-person view, an invisible player's name and model become invisible, although their armor and held items do not.
